Typically no...but yesterday, unfortunately yes. Now that you guys mentioned it here, I'm almost positive that was when it occurred.

Some other angles from other member cars. Please note the body line and reference to the yellow line in the attached pic.
"cbbkrayz"

"technique, dsq."

"miami250"

"istundra"

I used MSpaint and followed the body line on the bumper. The yellow line resembles the edge of the GFX lip. Can someone please confirm?

Thanks Istundra! You've been very helpful. It looks like it will cover the entire scrape, but I have to wait til I'm back home on Sunday to be 100% sure. As for the clear bra, I'm not so sure what to do with about it. Sometimes I wished I never had it installed in the first place. Someone did warned me about clear bra riping in an event like this. But on the other hand, the clear bra has prevented major paint chips from occurring. The paint was had looked worse without it. Hopefully, Aerotech can do a quick fix to that area without removing and replacing the entire bra.

I have a clear bra too. When i bought the GFX kit shortly after "technique", i just installed it covering the existing clear bra. If it would cover the damage of the clear bra, i would just install the lip over the damage.

Sounds good. If it can cover the entire damage, then I don't have to do anything to the clear bra.

Oh one more thing. Mine is crystal white and I'm sure the lip will be starfire pearl. You think it would look awkward if I were to not paint the lip to match the crystal white?

I would check around and try to get the correct color, Crystal White 062.

Last i checked with Sewell, Crystal White 062 is discontinued. (i have crystal white '03 GS300 SD.)

You might get lucky and find old stock, but new, GFX lip in Crystal White 062.

thanks again!
And if all fails and I cannot find the crystal white.....a mismatch lip is probably better than the ugly black spot.

iSuxel's Vertex Front Lip (Aftermarket Part)

- if the GFX Front Lip (Factory Part) does not cover the damage, i am very certain the Vertex Front Lip would cover it. This is definitely on the extreme side for your car considering it is mostly stock.

Oh yeahhh, this one looks extreme. I like the GFX lip better.
