Front GFX Lip to cover up bumper scrape
Hey guys,
I have this scrape on my front bumper. Don't ask how I got it. As you can see the paint is scraped, leaving a visible black plastic. My poor clear bra is torn too. So my question for you: do you think a GFX lip will cover this up? See attached pictures.
Otherwise, I supposed I can live with it since the car is more than 2 years old.

I dont think the GFX lip is thick enough to cover it all..maybe it will leave some parts uncovered.. why dont u buy the GFX lip from your local dealer and see whether it covers everything, if not you can just return it. but make sure you keep it in new condition+ the box and receipt

I have noticed that when I think I am parking normally, my front lip (barely) goes over the sidewalk in front of my car. The GFX may just be postponing and contributing to the next scrape by being lower. I'm better off to stay stock with no scrapes yet than to mod and have it trashed.

Do you park your car close to a really high curb?

Some other angles from other member cars. Please note the body line and reference to the yellow line in the attached pic.

I used MSpaint and followed the body line on the bumper. The yellow line resembles the edge of the GFX lip. Can someone please confirm?

So you suggest I skip the GFX lip and just do touch up paint?

Thanks for posting a picture. Well, it looks like it may cover up the upper portion. I left town for the weekend, so I don't have my car with me at the moment to take a wider angle photo. I'll post it as soon as I go back home on Sunday. I live in San Bernardino County....Big Bear Lake.

You know what.....I'm thinking I must have scraped it today, parking in a higher than normal sidewalk. The problem is I didn't notice any scraping noise. I don't recall seeing that scrape the day before either. So you think I should stay stock to avoid wasting money just to have it further scraped in the future? I'm thinking this whole mess is more complicated than I originally thought, having the clear bra installed This will probably require removing the damaged bra and replacing it with a new one, unless somehow Aerotech can do a quick fix to that area without removing the entire bra.
