Default Removing rear bumper

Hey all, I'm attempting to install the rear gfx and am stuck at trying to remove the rear bumper (yeah, I've gotten that far). I had initially removed the interior paneling of the trunk thinking that was how it came off but it's not. Do I need to go through the wheel wells in order to remove the rear bumper? If so, do you all recommend jackstands?

If you look at the instructions that came with the GFX kit, its all in there. If you dont have them, just go to sewell's website, they have them posted as a PDF.

Some tips: there is a bunch of clips underneath (easy), one in the rear wheel well (behind the fender lining). This one u first have to remove a screw which then allows u to pull that clip out (one on each side). That clip was the hardest part really. Also, if you open your trunk, there are two squares on either side which u need to pop off, and unscrew the screw's behind it. Then it basically comes out, there will be a few clips holding it in, but just pull down and it pops out. I did this myself, without jacking up the car. Mine is not lowered though (at least not yet) .

We just did 2 cars this weekend at Musicbox. It's like 2 bolts on top, 2 screws on the side and like a couple clips on the bottom. No jack or lift needed...

Yes. It creates a new "circle" to fit the exhaust tip. Don't worry about the cutting - if you're installing the right way you'll have holes in your bumper anyway. Do it right and do it only once!

Some have not cut anything in their rear bumper. You will need to search one of the gfx threads.

One guy with a matador did his w/o cutting. I didn't want to take the chance of losing my gfx, especially when it's discontinued. I opted to do it the right way...very secure and no worries.

And yes the rear bumper is very easy to remove, follow the directions given with the gfx. NO you do have to take the rear interior out. You don't have to take the tow hook cover off either.
