2009 IS post-U.S. release discussion thread

Yeah That's the one thing I like about Scion-- there are no packages (but then there is only one choice for interior too haha) -- Everything for the most part is considered an accessory and can be installed at any time and does not require that you pick a certain color and/or other accessory

saw a few 2k9 2is's @ stevens creek after EOS (they were moving the cars back into the lot). long story short, it doesn't look all that great from the front, the chrome trim on the side mirrors look tacky, and the rims are less than desireable... but the rear bumper w/ the faux diffuser looks kinda cool.
i wonder if it's a straight-up swap?

Are there any confirmations from dealers regarding the availability of the Card Key instead of the Key Fob? There was another thread about it last week, but now that dealers are starting to get information/actual vehicles, can anybody confirm?

Anytime In the future, if you have any other questions feel free to PM me!
projectdna: Of course I'm working! Haha I'm just so awesome.com that I can post on here in the few small moments of downtime I get during the day haha
And the Nav/ Mark Levinson is available on all model/color combos.

They did this for the last batch of 08 IS250's for the Western Region. All the last remaning 08 250's in dealer lots right now have no HID.

Comparison Picture, old vs new. The new one is the grey one. Notice more chrome around the grille border, and at the bottom corners there is kind of a 'squiggly' finish at the bottom corners, vs. the sharp corners on the old model. Grille and bottom honeycomb seem to be the same. Foglight size seem to be the same. Bumper is more 'one piece', and the twin separation at the bottom is a bit fatter and rounder. It is harder to notice the bumper change on darker colored cars. Obviously you can notice the chrome from a mile away (it even blinded my camera.. LOL)
