I would take the ES because I could cram more things/people in it.

Since you're in the break-in period on the IS, and you'll probably be sitting in evacuation traffic for hours, I'd take the ES just to avoid the extra wear and tear on that new IS engine.

And like you said, if some flying rock dings the ES, you're not going to mind as much as you would if it was the brand new IS.

Take the ES as long as your IS will be safe in the garage during the hurricane.

i dont think, slippage on wet roads is a problem, vdim works very well... on a safety note the new mdl car would always be safest for the occupants... IF i was transporting loved ones thru a storm i would take my car over the caravan/neon due to the safety features, can always replace the car not so much the contents within...

take the ES. as long as the IS is safe in the garage, i wouldnt want any one bumping into it in traffic or rock chips etc...

Where in NW Houston are you? Im located in the same area, but I'm going to ride out the storm. Be safe on the roads bro, its projected to get pretty nasty out there.

ES, insurance will take care of it IS if anything happens at home.
