yes you read correctly a Rat has decided the front engine compartment is a nice place for his home!!
I'm from the UK and have a IS220D i dont if other lexus's are different the 220D has an underside cover underneath the engine and the rat comes and sits there at night a looks hes making himself at home, i have pull out packets of sweets etc
thanks god he isnt eating any wiring!! as i know they can do this
i tried all pest control to try to kill em but he is a crafty character
i was wondering about the underside cover if take that of will it possibly damage my car i think it only on there to reduce sound of engine but atleast mr rat wont have anywhere to sit
p.s i will be posting pics of my car soon as some people requested this but will wait tilll weekend need to wash car

Buy a cat and create a bigger space under the engine.
LoL, it's happened on a number of occasions, your car is probably the warmest spot outside for it to sleep in. Better the car than your house. Like others have said, peanut butter on a glue trap is a remedy... Good luck

OH! why dont you put the car in a garage and put the engine on and let it run for a while... isnt that how people suicide? maybe stick a hose in the exhaust and run it to the engine...and hope the rat suffocates from the exhaust?

I'm sure the carbon monoxide thing would seem like a good idea until the thing is dead. And at that point, if you can't get to its carcass, that smell of rotting rat will surely suck.
