Powdercoating my wheels, what would you pay?
I just sent my is350 in to get a metallic black powdercoat on my wheels...i was wondering what you would pay to get all 4 wheels done...this includes prepping (i have to get all 4 stripped and resurfaced since there was a little bit of curb damage since i got the car used)...i paid the guy here in charlotte $450...

if you are paying for prepwork sandblasting, coating, and mount/dismount and bal of tires then that's a pretty good deal. i pay $100 a wheel just to have it polished, not including prepwork and mount/dismout etc.
powdercoating here in cali is about 50-75 if you bring it all ready for baking. you got a decent deal.

he actually had real good reviews online...his web site is www.princewheels.com but yeah he said $75 a wheel for the powdercoating, 25 a wheel becuase our cars have this tire pressure sensor or something he needs to take out, and 30 a wheel for stripping sandblasting and making them ready for powdercoating (i did have prior damage to the wheels from curbs)...i took my car there without cleaning the wheels or anything, and he said he'd have it done in a week (this friday), hes gonna leave my car on one of the many lifts he has available...so pretty much it came out to about $130 a wheel...then i told him to do something with that tire pressure sensor cost, so he went down to $110 a wheel...i think thats a pretty good deal especially if he can dismount and mount my tires and do everything for me...but yeah right now im driving a nissan 350Z (my friends car) so im not complaining...lol

hmm you can just take off the tire pressure sensors with a 11mm ratched?? its an extra 25 to take it off?!?! thats crayyyyzeeee lol it takes 2 seconds to remove them.. depending how fast you can move the ratched haha that shouldnt have even been priced IMO or else hes charging you 25 bucks for trying to be more gentle to not break the sensor when taking off and putting on the tire

Just go mine done around a month ago and costs @ $500 total. With the sand blasting, remounting, rebalancing, & ect... I thought it was a good deal. I took mine local. Cary, NC. Carolina powder coating. Great guys and 2 day turn around.
