As far the tape, I was looking for it everywhere and finally found it at AutoZone.

What part of the OC are you in?
Use some pliers and grab the bolts as close to the base as you can. Rock it back and forth and it should pry off. Good luck mang.

It's very straight forward:
  1. Remove the 3x Screws;
  2. Cover the holes with 3M double-sided tape; and
  3. slap spoiler onto your trunk.

hey for those of you who took the screws off them put doulbe face tape over the holes, do you guys notice that the entire bottom surface does not seal against the trunk lid anymoore?

I took my spoiler off to recetner it, and noticed that the area where the screws would be are kind of raised, so by placing tape along the entire lenght of the spoiler raises these 3 areas even more causing only those 3 areas to contact the trunk lid.

I believe this spoiler i have is an egay one though, so I was wonder how the oem ones are designed. thanks!

yeah and to the one above talking crap about honda-tech, they don't call it hater-tech for no reason.

Red face

Has any one bought and installed the ebay ones' ? There are two guys selling painted and shipped for $100 and $120. I know for sure that one of them only uses 3m tape. I have used 3m tape on some fog lamps a long time ago and they came off. I also bought an aftermarket spoiler for my GS and you could see a little bit of lifting on the 3m part but it was also bolted on.

Bringing back a thread from the dead...rather not open a new one.. (tried searching no luck)

My question If I use double side tape (red one 3M), will the spoiler stay on? or will drilling be the best?

lets say if I use **** loads of 3M tape and drive at 100 KM/H, what are the chances of the spoiler falling and smoking the cars behind me?

Also anyone have the Drilling template?

thx
