If I am just replacing the inner grille, do I have to take out the entire outer bezel? Or can I just take out the inner grille with the bezel still in place, then insert the new grille?

I'm hoping this can be done to avoid the possibility of scratching my paint on the bumper.

Turned out just fine. Thanks for the write up. When pulling the grille towards your chest, watch the clip on the same side you are pulling, its between the bumper and grille on the side. When I noticed that one it was easy to pull the grille free from the bumper.
