Hi all...first post here and a potential IS 250 owner. Just wanted to ask about high milage on a 2006 IS 250...They are asking $18495 and I'm sure I can get them to come down a little...but is it worth it? The real problem for me is it's in nice looking condition in and out(was used as a commuter car) but they warranty is for only 30-60 days...whats everyone think about this deal? ...cheers.

If you really want the car and can't afford to buy one with less miles go for it but be aware that everything on this car is pretty much an arm and a leg to fix. You could try to find a certified preowned with a better warranty.

nah...it's from a Honda dealer here in NY...so it's not certified preowned through Honda. But the saleman told me about the previous owner ...He was a NYC Police sergeant and used it to commute back and forth to the city...traded for a 2008 Accord Coupe. It's in really nice shape inside and out...looks garage kept. It has everything loaded into it...Rear wheel drive, it's a manual trans Smoke Gray or Graphite, Leather...bla bla bla.

The only thing that messes with me is the milage and the warranty.

why don't you ask Lexus if you can buy extended warranty on the car, then you can have a peace of mind without worrying about any problem.

so, it's a manual trans, leather(of course), does it have nav, mark levinson audio, DVD, memory seat?

you should look at those 5 records, and see what they are. they can be title update, vehicle service, bla bla bla. it is important if you are buying a used car. see also if accidents are reported to carfax.

Not sure...I remember the dealer saying it has a backup camera....not sure if it falls under this category. So I should contact Lexus and see if I can buy an extended warranty or see if one still exists? Thanks for the heads up. I appreciate it fellas!

if it has a backup camera, it should have a nav. check whether they have the options I listed, hey you are buying a car dude, you should know what the car has lol

I agree...just now a days there are so many options and packages....as long as I get from A to B without sitting on the side of the road with a nice looking car.
