1. My last car was a Hummer H2 and at 60mph it would shake so i knew i was going fast, i just got this IS 3 weeks ago and at 110 it feels like 60 compared to the truck atleast. Then the road is wide open with no cars and ive neever seen a cop on it before so i was just cruising. Didnt even realize it
2. I have a part time job at a sub shop making 7.25/hr, i make $120 a week cause im in highschool

The car is very smooth yes , but seriously going 70 in a 45 zone isn't that hard to detect . Unless your average speed wherever you go is 90 , you should be able to know your going 25 above limit . Specially since you were going 70 . Hopefully you learned not to be oblivious from now .

The last traffic stop I had was a hoot though. I picked up my IS in June '07. I am leasing it after getting out of a Jeep lease. I'm stopped at a light with a cop behind me and he's looking at me strangely (I use my mirrors). Started wondering if I was speeding or went through a stop sign, didn't think I had done either. The light changed and as soon as I started to move his lights came on.
It turns out Chrysler had cancelled my plates at the end of the lease. Yet Toyota was able to register the plates. So all the paperwork was in order but the State's computer's were screwed up. Spent a morning at MVD getting that mess straightened out. There was no charge, but a ticket might have been more pleasant.

I was driving a 1989 Geo Metro LSi 2 door with 3 cylinders of fury and a 3 speed auto with no tape deck just an am/fm stereo when I was your age. Not that my parents couldn't afford to buy me something better but they just felt that I should start with a POS so I would learn the value of money. And you know what I'll probably do the same with my future kids after all it worked on me so it should work on them too.
