Had this car for less than a month and just got my 1st ticket
I hope this thing isnt bad luck, havent even had it for a month yet and just got my first ticket ever. ugghh im so pissed.
Came around a big wide turn, kind of like a nascar turn, and on the other side he was sitting there and as soon i as i saw him my stomach dropped. His lights came right on and all i could say was sshhhh*****tttt.
$106 ticket thats basically one of my paychecks down the drain It was going to be a $236 ticket for doing 69 in a 45 but he wrote me down for a 54 in a 45 so i was polite and thankful yet very pissed. Oh well guess i need to start looking at my speed cause i didnt even know i was going that fast, this thing is sooooo much smoother than my last car... haha

i don't know how the insurance system is in florida/the states.. but if i got a ticket for $106.. i wouldn't give a damn.. as long as my insurance premium doesn't go up.. but it would.. any sort of ticket (excluding parking) will most likely shoot your insurance rates up..
is it the same in florida? or are you just pissed off that you got a $106 ticket?

1. My last car was a Hummer H2 and at 60mph it would shake so i knew i was going fast, i just got this IS 3 weeks ago and at 110 it feels like 60 compared to the truck atleast. Then the road is wide open with no cars and ive neever seen a cop on it before so i was just cruising. Didnt even realize it
2. I have a part time job at a sub shop making 7.25/hr, i make $120 a week cause im in highschool

Dont worry i had my fair share of POS vehicles. 95' ranger, headlights that didnt do *****, random on/off windshield wipers, no a/c, not much power anything, shook at 45mph, radio barely worked, blinkers didnt work often, no horn, dont even thing the airbag worked in it.

reasons to not speed:
1. you will not get to your destination that much quicker. this is especially true on short trips in town. do the math. if you go 5 over vs 15-20 over you will only save a few minutes. not worth the chance of getting a ticket IMO. obviously the more miles in the trip the more time you save - but you get the picture. even on a 300 mile trip the time saved is not material.
2. going slower gives more people a chance to admire your car!
3. save the money that would have been spent on tickets for mods
i go about 5 over all of the time, most cops dont care about this. i know its easy to lose track on the freeway or on some 4 lane roads in town, but its no ones fault but your own when you get busted.
