Default Damaged my fenders from rubbing for 2000 miles

I have my wheels for 2000 miles and I noticed that there were some rubbing noise after driving from San Francisco to Sacramento. When I reached Sac yesterday, I noticed that my fenders looked cut up from rubbing every day. I don't know if this is normal but I don't want water to get into my fender liner. Is there any fix to this? The hole is about 1/2 inch big and the plastic was pointing downward towards my tires which caused the sound. I was about to cut it off but I decided to push it inside the fender liner. The place where I am rubbing at is the place where the there is 2 flat head nails to remove that clips the fender liner together. Is there any way I can push it in to reduce rubbing? I know people said they use heat gun but how does that works? Maybe I should take a picture to make this clearer.

I am running 19x8.5 with 235/30/19 tires in front with 0 finger gap. If I set my coilovers to full dump on my rear, will I rub on 19x10 265/35/19 ? Thanks.

i think he damaged his liner maybe you will also get thread issues because i remember reading on here where people were rubbing and there were like two screws under the lining where it cut up their tires thread......

I think you can roll the fenders, its just harder on the is especially the rear.
Gotta pay to play! jk. prob too low, Im at 1/2 finger gap only rubbing on big dips. try setting ur coils stiffer. I would suggest to raise a bit. im on 20x8.5 n 20x10 225/30/20 245/30/20 most of the time but im streched.

is this in the front or rear? if you have coilovers then just stiffen the damper and raise it up some. if the problem is up front then i would also suggest going to a 225. BTW what offset are the wheels?
