Heres some data for you to evaluate you options better.

http://autos.yahoo.com/toyota_coroll...miles=20&exp=A

http://autos.yahoo.com/lexus_is_350_...miles=20&exp=A

Given the data for the second link for 08 IS350 I would use 'Year 3' data since we're near the end of the year. This is only to compare $ to $ value, have you thought about how you would quantify your personal intrinsic value?

For me you can't put a price on driving a IS350 vs a Corolla.... or can you??

Are you trying to retain value due to plans on selling the car in the near future? If so why not sell it now and get full value? If not, you can't cash in on your car's value anyway so why not drive it into the ground. Afterall it is a car and was made to be driven.

but that is a really rough estimate saying it doesnt allow mileage input and such

in 5 years you would lose 25k well over the price of a new corolla

you also have to count the money you get back when you sell the corolla. not only you asve gas, and the 350 doesnt depreciate as much, but you have 2 cars and can also use it for other things. just drvie the IS at night and weekdns.

I agree with you bro, use the 350 for nights and weekeneds and use another car for business. If you really luv your 350 keep it low miles and use something else and run it to the ground for business.. I would do that.. lol

A car is a car. Drive it into the ground. Just maintain it really well.

If you're planning on selling it in a year or two, you should just buy a CHEAP beater. Either way, a car is a depreciating asset one way or another. It will lose value just sitting there. I'd rather drive the car and enjoy it.

Sometimes you have to think dollars and SENSE. not just dollars and cents....
