Default ~Is it Safe rolling on 5mm Spacer Disc?~

How many of ya running with 5mm spacers disc in the rear? I put them on the rear and then I used a torque wrench (80Lb) to keep the aftermarket lug nuts tighten safe.. Do ya think is it safe with stock studs? 5mm spacers are not thick.. Give me a opinion of good and bad...

You should be fine with stock studs for 5 mm spacers. If you decide to go anything more than that, you should have longer studs.

The 2" studs Lexus uses are shorter than most of the ones in use by the majority of manufacturers. The maximum spacer you'd be able to safely use is less than 10mm. Once you hit 10mm, you need to swap the studs out for longer ones.

I hear that anything above 5mm you should get extended. I test fitted a 5mm and looked scary to me...

But you must all remember the studs are not the most important part of the wheel staying on correctly its the hub. The wheel must be snug on the hub. Just in case you didn't know.

What company's make a direct bolt on spacer kit for our cars? I'm confused how it works WITHOUT removing the stock studs.

Very true, which makes your selection of which "spacer" or "adapter" you use very important...

if you want to be safer maybe you should just get longer studs. with that you can have a peace of mind even it's only 5mm spacers.

what do you think?
