I have an '08 IS350, bought it in March.
Since I've had the car, on startup with AC on, I get a smell of what's like engine/motor oil.
Any ideas on what's causing this?
Thanks

u need to let all the ac air out before u turn off the car to avoid that smell...so before u turn car off when u are using ac.. turn ac off and turn fan on high .... the smell is from the old aic air u leave in the vents... hhope this helps

I had the same problem a year ago. The water in the AC box was not draining. The dealer cleaned out the hose, clipped the end of it. Sprayed a bunch of A/C de orderizer and it was good to go. It takes a while for the car to cool enough to get to the drain hose.

like burton said...but also...
make sure your setting is on "engine air" and not recirc.... and drive around with your windows down for a bit...
after you turn off your car, leave your windows down so the moisture has somewhere to escape once it enters your cabin (assuming you have garage).
