Question Question about AUX for Iphone in 2008 IS

I plugged my phone in and switched it AUX but nothing happens. I tried playing it and it just plays through the phone speakers and not through the car radio. Am I doing something wrong?

I purchased a 3.5mm 1/8" cable on both sides. Is that correct?

Since you are playing music through the iPhone the same way you would listen to headphones you need to make sure the volume on the iPhone is turned up as well. Turn off all EQ settings on the iPhone as well.

Are you using a cable with a male end that's deep enough to plug into the iPhone? Apple makes that damn plug recessed on the iPhone so you can't use a generic 3.5mm plug. It sounds like it's just not plugged in - check your connections.

sounds like u used the wrong cable. you cant use a generic aux cable. it needs to be compatible with the iphone. The generic ones doesnt go deep enough. Try using the aux from apple and that is compatible with the iphone. Return it if it still doesnt work
