Un-even front tire wear. Warranty????
I noticed in my girlfriend's IS 250 that the front driver tire is worn out more than the passenger tire. The car drives perfectly straight with no signs of misalignment, what can be causing this excessive tire wear? Drivers tire is significantly more worn out, is not just a little bit.
Tire pressure has been checked routinely.
Should I take it to the dealer?
Is alignment covered under warranty?
Any previous experience here??

Alignment is covered for the first year of ownership if you have not done any suspension modifications and as for tires...i doubt there is any warranty as basically all low profile sport tires have no mileage warranty, but its all up to the dealership some might...

It is not a tire defect, so it will not be covered under warranty.
Is the entire tire wearing more just the outer or inner part? You need to be specific.
The car may drive straight but the alignment may be off. Alteast we dont drive bimmers. There rear tires are cambered in to get better handling. the inner tread wears out but not the out tread.

We don't need a camber kit, it won't solve your problems. The toe is wrong and wearing out the tires, not the camber.
I'll laugh hard at all you guys who put on a camber kit and still kill your tires because the monkey doing your alignment can't figure out how to set toe unless the machine flashes green for them.
