Default Wheel torque spec?

I can't remember what the wheel torque spec is for our 2IS... was it like 80lb or 76lb?

70-80lbs is okay. Plus the torque wrench you're using is probably out of calibration anyway so just set it at 75lbs and call it a day. Just don't go any lower than that..

Just remember to add 1ft lb if you add an extension.

??? Extensions make no difference. A crow's foot will, but not an extension, especially with 1/2" drive (which you should be using for wheel lugs.)

Are you serious? An extension can make a world of a difference depending on length of the extension. If you're using the standard 4 in extension plus socket on your torque wrench you add at least 5ft/lbs.

Where did you read this BS? No one, not even the Air Force when working on airplanes arbitrarily adds to a torque value because you're using an extension. Who told you this flagrant lie?
