I am asking because I went with a more conservative offset with 235s and I still rub a lot with a similar drop.

I re-located the fender tab and I have used a heat gun to reform the fender liner into the the open space.
I am still rubbing some on big dips and turns with speed. The good news is that it is only rubbing fender liner and not the metal fender tab. I will continue to work on the liner until I get it out of the way or the tire wears it out.
