Default Free flat repair if you own a Lexus?

Hey guys, I just got a flat tire in the Houston area while on vacation. (I live in Louisiana) I had Discount Tire repair the flat; and when i came to pick the car up i was shocked to see that the repair was free. I didnt ask any questions; I just left. Is this some kind of coverage from Lexus or did they just make a mistake? This is on a leased 2007 IS350 with 11,800 miles.

One other question; they failed to give me back my chrome valve stem cap, and gave me a crappy looking black plastic one instead. I didn't complain since everything was free. Does anyone know where I can pick one of those up for cheap? Thanks.

Discount Tire will patch it up for free if it's not on the sidewall. It's not just a Lexus thing.

When I had my truck, they would actually fix the tire and switch it out with the spare if you were driving on the spare free of charge. Of course, when it was time for me to replace my tires, I went to Discount Tire so it paid off for them in the end.

Discount Tire are good but you have to tell the Manager to make sure the guys who are working on your tire to not scratch the rims. It happen to my friend car.

You also have to make sure they do not discard the TPMS sensor, My mom had a flat repair done at discount and they tossed the sensor and put on one of those cheesy chrome valve stems.
I know from back in my teens working at a rim and tire store that it is standard practice to remove the valve stem to deflate the tire in a hurry, but what kind of dumba** can't figure out that the valves with the TPMS integrated into it is not a normal valvestem.

Not general practice for them to repair a tire that was not purchased there. If they did it was just a goodwill gesture.

They will patch it if you bought it from them.

My guess is the tech there accidentally crushed the tpms sensor when he was breaking the bead

With the free roadside assistance, they will put your spare on for you, but I don't think they can "field dress" a flat tire.

Yes, Discount/America's Tire will repair your flat for free no matter if you bought your tire's there or not. They have fixed two of my tires for free, and they swaped my stock rims with my g-spiders rims with no tpms problems what so ever...they did a very good job switching everything over w/o scratching my wheels! My local America's Tire lets you watch the whole process thru a window when they're performing the work.

You can pick up some fancy stem caps at Autoattire that have the Lexus "L" on them.
