The problem isn't the LED itself. It's the fact that in DRL mode, the car doesn't provide enough current for the LED to be at full power. It's by design... hence, that's why your DRL doubles as your high beam.

Just installed my DRL module from Vleds....works like a charm DRL are much more brighter and no flicker . If you are using SMT leds for your DRL aka high beams. This module update is great

Where did you hide the module, does it fit inside the black compartment with clips where the DRL and city lights are located?

Yes..I just tucked it in the housing where the DRL and City lights sit. I twisted the DRL bulb if I were to remove it. It gave perfect room the shove down the module inside the housing. Then I replaced the cover with all wires and module sittitg inside. Neat and tidy

No Pictures...Its a pain to remove the covers so I didn't snap pictures. I think all LED bulbs that are used for DRL will work. Because the bulb is not the problem. Its the low voltage used during DRL mode that causes the flickering. This module converts the 3v input feed to 12v output during DRL mode. Much more brighter and no flickering..works really great

Sweet, i ordered mine a few days ago. I was thinking about putting in a relay circuit to solve the problem, but this seems to be a cleaner fix. Can't wait to put them in! Thanks jns350!

Your welcome eskae3 You wont be dissapointed..it works just as it says it does. I too was trying to build a relay to give 12v output and as a option thinking of using a bypass to give this bulb 12v from the battery with a on/off switch on my dash...really extreme for just a illumination increase. But very glad this thread was created to inform me of the new module. Shaun at vleds was in the process of creating this a long time ago but only now have made it available.

Installed mine last night, and WOW, what a difference! Theses things are blinding now. If you have the VLED 68 SMT DRL's I highly recommend you get these relays too.
