Different tire pressure recommendation.. confused
The tire pressure recommendation for OEM 18" is 35F and 37R. that's what it says too on the door panel.
Now that I switched to 225/35/19 and 275/30/19, should I still follow the tire pressure written on the door panel? The shop pulled the data of the tire and it says 31 F and 41 R for the tire pressures. they said those are the pressure recommended by the tire manufacturer according to the size. and so they put those pressures instead of what is written on the door panel.
I just want to make sure which one is the right one to follow.. tire experts pls help
thanks in advance

50 psi..according to tire rack..
I wanted to put 38 too..but the shop kept saying I have to go with the recommendation by the manufacturer.
what about the front tires? You have 225/35/19 too, don't you?

For any aftermarket setup, I recommend to follow "just about" dealer spec. Feel the ride and tweek the pressure with +/- 3 psi from this spec.
ATM the tpms modules in Toy/Lex systme mostly are the "learning system models" so it will pickup the new values when pressed the reset button after adjustment.
Never load air at max valve on the tire unless you know what you are doing. It is there only for safty issues.

The Dealer recomended PSI is not going to be the same. That is based on an entirly different tire size. You do not want to run the max psi on the tire side wall either. This is the Max Pressure...I would suggest running a bit more then the 31lbs in the front, but the shop is on the right track...The tire manufacture is who you should call yourself for the most direct answer.
You should be able to find a tech line number somewhere.

For my 19" tire sizes.. (see my sig)
I run 36psi on the fronts and 38psi on the rears
- Of course be sure to always set tire pressure when the tires are "Cool"
- Also, be sure to check your tire pressure at least ONCE A MONTH....
^^ I would day 35lbs all around should be comfortable for your AWD...

Example - the other night I filled my tires up with AIR at the nearest gas station off the freeway... My tires were HOT of course...
I added a few extra lbs in each tire...
The next morning I adjusted my 4 cooled tires pressure DOWN to my desired .lbs.., before leaving for work.
