Default DRL Piaa 9005 Yellow 55w ?

Will they be ok ? I'm worried about burning the plug. Happened in my previous car. Probably b/c i was using a 110w bulb maybe....Anyone got these in their Is350? If so, any pictures perhaps? How is the install ? Pretty easy ?

Thanks for any advice !

I have 55w in mines and it burnt the plug, if I were you invest in the high output connectors they sell, I replaced my harness and then added the high output connectors and nothing so far. Others might say you don't need it, but trust me get it. It'll save you the headache in the long run. And it'll fit inside the headlight so you can close the cap completely to prevent moisture from coming in.

why would it burn the plug if your stock 9005 are rated at 55w also?

I think the DRLs are rated at 35w, cause I can show you the burnt connector. I was lucky enough to find a guy on ebay that was selling an OEM harness for dirt cheap. You can chance it if you like, but I wouldn't. Not after what it did to mines. $20 for the price of NOT frying your whole harness is very well worth the money IMO.

Just cause you have yellow DRLs doesn't mean they're going to burn out the connector. If you have the high wattage bulb then I suggest you get the high output connectors, or GL finding a harness for cheap when it burns out.
