Took my 2008 IS 350 in for its' 15K service and shortly after I noticed a lot of road noise from the front driver's side wheel. Thought they might hve screwed something up during service. Took it in and it turns out that I have a bad wheel bearing! Thank God it is under warranty.

Or somebody whacked a curb and replaced the wheel but didn't inspect the bearing. I highly doubt the bearing failed at 16k of natural causes. Design flaw is completely out, there are too many ISx50 on the road with no history of wheel bearing failure. Manufacturing flaw is also unlikely because it wouldn't take 16k to show up, it would take about 1k. So, it sounds to me like someone whacked a curb pretty hard about 1k ago and its now showing up.

That is why I thought my tire wear might have been funny and the rotation of the tires caused it initially.
I have a High Performance Exhaust and I could barely hear the exhaust when at hwy speeds.

They replaced the bearing and everything seems to be OK now. I also had them replace the front brake pads to eliminate the brake dust with the Alternate Pads (Finally available for 2008). They also addressed a squeak in the Dash that was caused by the rubbing between the instrument cluster and the dash. They put felt in between the two where they were rubbing together.

Bet they whacked it and replaced the wheel without telling you. Or they did something just plain stupid when they last serviced it and damaged the wheel bearing. Did they do your brakes at your last service?

They did the 15K service..oil change, filters(inside and out), tire rotate and balance...
They did not do the brakes until I brought it back in for the bearing replacement.
What could they have done during the normal service? It did start about 50 miles after the service.

Sorry, but it sounds like they jacked your car and are now fixing it at Lexus Corp's expense.

They rotated your tires? Are you sure? That alone tells me they're either liars or idiots. Your tires CAN'T be rotated, they're different sizes front and rear. Maybe they figured this out after they put the rears on the front...
