After market rims
Hi guys/girls,
I'm currently in the state of getting the winter tires onto the IS. However, I was told by the dealer I need to purchase the rims from them as the tire sensors are made to fit to their rims only. It is hard for me to believe that this is true, but then again I don't want to go purchase a aftermarket rims and then finds out the sensor does not fit the rims. If anybody in this forum has used after market rims with the tire sensors purchased from the dealer, can you please kindly let me know which rims/steeles you guys used? Also I'm planning on putting on 17 inch: 225/45/17.

Ok, I'll be the first to call BS on that one. You need rims that are TPMS compatible, and there are many many many manufacturers making them. Check the wheels thread, I think there are a few 17s in there.
