Got it to work. Didn't follow the instructions as closely as I should have.

Though now I am getting "Check System" message on the panel.

decided to go with this little guy... i usually would only want to watch divx movies anyway...so no need for dvd player. small and compact enough...may even fit in ashtray of 2IS

gonna use a 5VDC adapter to power it.

takes an SD card or USB stick ... search "sd video" on ebay

will install this weekend and we'll see how it goes

That looks nice Jay. But doesn't some DVD player have that option with SD card/ USB outlet?

I'm still in the market looking for a DVD player that will fit in the glove box. Can't seem to find one.. When I try to search for one, it gives me a in dash DVD player deck.. Am I searching the wrong keyword?

the glove box is pretty tight for a dvd player. That pyle one is small enough to fix too bad its a POS.

yep true. But none will be small enough to fit inside our tiny glove box. I considered putting a dvd player underneath the seats, but even the dimensions there are too small ....

great thing is this player only pulls 800mA!!! so hopefully I can tap the navi unit's power wire without any weird noise problems on startup

should be able to find out this weekend
