Cheers...
I used black silicon...I had the tape on, that started to lift with all the rain and dirt getting under it. I suggest either silicon or urethane it on...tape doesn't hold too well on glass...

You just haven't used the right double sided tape. The 3m VHB tape has been tested in hurricane force winds and they stick.

There are many types of 3M double sided tape; everything from light household duty to heavy duty industrial applications. If you buy the stuff at Home Depot or Lowe's it is the lighter duty stuff. It'll probably work ok, but I used the 3M tape meant for automotive use for attachment of exterior items like body side molding and claddings. The spoiler isn't going anywhere with that tape!! It's been on about a year and it is as tight as a drum.

I have a cousin & uncle in the automotive industry and they mounted this roof spoiler twice with 2 different 3M tapes and (this was after I used the 3M tape that came with the JUN) and both times it didn't sit flush the way I wanted it so we decided to silicon it and it looks better IMO with the silicon. I've seen others that have urethaned it on...looks same too! IMO...its just the owners preference...but I have used 3 different types of tape method and I was not happy with it until the silicon method!
Eh....I thought your name was Noland? Your profile is Brant. Which is it?

Finally fixed the warping with the glue down method, huh?

Pete.

Yah, I finally got the warping down...my cousin did a great job when he used the silicon. It has breathing room so that water can flow through. It sits flush but has spaces between the silicon when he put it on!

some say to use the heavy duty mounting tape.
http://www.shop3m.com/70006429198.ht...KU=70071246899
but it says
"For outdoor and indoor use. May be used instead of mechanical fasteners for various permanent mounting applications. Sticks to a wide variety of surfaces (some surface preparation may be required)."

permanent?!?!?! how would you take that off then??
