I bought a used 2006 IS250, put in the vaistech SLi. Everything works great except the MP3 folders grey out when moving. I tried the menu, volume, up left, bot left, etc. but it doesn't work.

I thought this is supposed to work with 2006 models with version 5.1? Is it possible I have a 2007 nav disc? This is driving me nuts!! I guess I'll have to do the hack. Any advice would be GREATLY appreciated.

The 5.1 nav disc has a software override to allow destinations to be input while driving, but the rest of the nannies, e.g., audio folders, telephone dialpad, etc. are still very much intact. Bypassing those requires the hardware hack.

u have to do the nav hidden hack ...type nav hack lexus in you tube...
go to vol screen and tap the top left corner and the bottem left corner until u get the secret menu then hold the over button.but not sure if it lets you override the folder options...keke

Nope, that's for destination entry only. Won't help on the stereo or phone.
