Default Prep tips for vehicle storage?

Not too sure where to put this...

Well I'm storing my car tomorrow and have never done it before... Looking for tips. In will be parked indoors and heated.

So far i got...

- Fill up with a full tank of gas
- Inflate tire pressure to 45PSI to ensure no flat spots
- Throw in a few bounce sheets inside the trunk, front and rear of the car to absorb moisture.
- Disconnect the battery

Any else i should do?

Wow! That would be an awesome display for a car show.

Gonna pick up a car cover. How long are our cars? There is 14ft-20ft in size.

You might want to add Sta Bil or some other gas stabilzer to the tank at fill up. Also put your battery on a trickle charger.
I store my Miata for the last 7 winters with no problem doing these things.

How long of a time are you talking about?

I can't justify spending $400 on a OEM car cover when it's stored indoors and heated.

i would recommend that you actually put your car up on jack stands depending on how long you're gonna leave your car. 'cause even though you put 45psi depending on how long and how hot/cold it gets in the garage or whatever you'll still have flat spots.

I'm not too concerned with flat spots since I put back on my stock wheels and they'll come right off in spring when i take her out of storage.

You don't need jack stands, but you do need a Battery Tender for your battery. Even if disconnected, a 5 1/2 mo hiatus in a heated garage will probably damage it's longevity. Hook up a Battery Tender (takes 5 minutes), plug it in and forget about it. Your battery will keep at 100% charge with no chance of overcharging. Then in the spring just crank it up and go.
