Just got 4 new General UHP tires installed and I have to say these seem to be the best kept secret. They grip like any other tire I've had, are relatively quiet, and have a great ride. Best of all, they cost about 1/2 of what the new Michelin Pilot Sport Pluses would have cost. Granted, I'm under no illusion that they are as good as those... but for less than 1/2 they seem to be WELL worth it.
Unfortunately, they don't have our stock size for the rears so I had to go up to a 255/45/18 (instead of a 255/40/18). But, that was no problem.
Anyone else have these?

Also worth noting - I put 225/45/18 in the front. They JUST BARELY rub when I take a corner slowly. But I do mean just barely. I probably should have stuck with 225/40/18 but it isn't a bad enough rub to be worried about it. And as soon as the tread wears down just a touch, they will be fine.

I'd be interested in your feelings of these after 5k miles or so.

P.S. The extra sidewall may have something to do with the nicer ride.

Not a fan of going bigger in tire diameter esp on the IS350 since it will slow you down a bit, but the benefits I see here for you are.
1. More comfortable ride
2. Less wheel gap
2. Your speedo will now probably be darn near 100% accurate since it tends to show a faster speed than what you are really going.
If I were to get those tires on a 350 I'd go stock size up front and 255/35/18 rears.

They rub on the rear side of the front tire well. This only happens in very specific situations though. Whenever I am taking a slow turn (5 mph) and am breaking (so the car body it lurching forward but the wheel itself is stuck on the ground) it rubs. When I take a turn at the same speed with no breaking or take it faster there is no rubbing.
They also only rub at a very specific angle. When I I take a semi hard (but not totally hard) turn. But, when I go all the way and take a hard turn, the rubbing stops.
