Default Questions about 5K service.

have about 700 miles to go before 5k service. I have read on these forums that deer do not use full synthetic oil, which is unacceptable to me. I assume that i can bring in my own oil. Secondly, i would usually rotate my tires at 5K. I assume they will charge me for this(not a problem). Also I have problems with the drivers seat moving when during sharp turn and the rear defroster doesn't has a section that does not defrost . i assume that i can get a loaner for the day?

Why don't you just tell them to use synthetic? And yes you can get a loaner for as long as you want. They work around your schedule not the other way around. I kept a car once for over 2wks

You don't say what model you have, but with different size tires front and rear, tire rotation is not something they will do, nor should you.

As far as I know the "official" lexus loaner policy is to only provide a loaner if the car will be in the shop overnight.... many dealers have better local policies than that though- my own local dealer provides one for any service visit that will take 2 hours or more (since they assume you can do anything shorter over your lunch break)

Official Lexus policy is for covered repairs that take longer than 8 hours.

Most dealerships, if you bought the car there, have a 60 or 90 minute policy.

Actually Longo only gives out loaners if your service is longer than 3 hours. I got a loaner for a whole day when doing my brake pad TSIB.

Just a check-up, making sure everything is breaking in well, see if you have any questions, set personal settings.
