I got the carlson overlay...real CF.... BTW...even though the overlay has its slight imperfections at least its real CF and $700 less

The slight imperfections in the weave in the real CF kit is what makes it real, it's a unique product. It's akin to a leather product, the small imperfections in your leather jacket attest to it's authenticity. Amazing that the old, real, high quality kit was $370 when I bought it in Jan '07, and now this kit is $1,000 and it looks to be a CF print job and not a real weave. This kit would have to be in the $300 range to even be considered a reasonable value.
