Default Handling & road feel -- 2IS vs 3-series, G35/37, 1IS

Looking for some opinions here...

This scale I've come up with may be a bad one, but humor me please.

[ -3 -2 -1 0 +1 +2 +3 ]

If a standard tuned 2IS is a 0
And a standard Camry is a -3

Where do you think the following cars fall on the scale as far as:
* Tightness of handling
* Steering feel/feedback

1.) 2IS with Sport/X-pkg
2.) 3-series (325/335)
3.) G35/G37
4.) 1IS

Explanations welcome. Thanks!

to answer this question... one must have driven all 4 cars...

but i'll take a guess
1.) +0.5
2.) +2
3.) +1.5
4.) +2? +2.5?

#4 is interesting. Maybe I haven't driven a 2IS enough to realize it's tuned a little "more loose?"...

Hey I juts wanna mention that

G35 and G37 handles really good even though the steering wheel is a little bit heavier than the IS350, IS250. The heaviness is not that much noticeable...

Why don't you just do a test drive for each one rather than making a scale... This is a Lexus fan club forum, so mostly the answer will be Lexus cause I guess 80% or 90% of us own Lexus...

This is something that you personally need to find out on your own. Take a test drive of all the vehicles, then come back here and give us a synopsis. =)

you do know the 09 2IS feels totally different than the 06-08 2IS, they've tightened up the steering considerably, its very very noticeable.

They said they changed the steering for 08 too, and a number of older owners who got 08 loaners mentioned noticing a big difference... but the only place I ever saw it "in print" from Lexus for 08s was on the "what is changing" sheet the dealers got right before the 08s hit the lot.

I wonder if there's a noticable additional difference from 08 to 09.

If it makes you feel better, the AWD steering is noticeably heavier than the RWD in their each resspective year model.

Same here. My '07's steering is crap. If I could improve it without swapping out the entire suspension system, I would.
