Default Any 2nd Gen IS's With A 2JZ Swap??

I was talking to one of my buddy's the other day about swaps and it popped into my head how about a 2jz swap into the IS, i know is300 do it all day, but what about a 2nd gen?? let me know

And you can get all that for the real LOW LOW price of around 30k

You know if I knew that was going for 30k I woulda bought it before I bought my IS... All I would tell him to do is put the interior back in...

30K are you referring to the drift car? or the actual swap? If I remember correctly they took out the 2JZ and did a v8 swap then crashed it at some drift event

I've seen several folks say they're working on one. I've yet to see one that actually moved under it's own power though. (Other than the pro drift car that didn't have hardly anything working but the drivetrain)

If only our car was a bit simpler like the first gens, then we could 2jz swap more with less problems

I would actually consider this but then wouldn't it make more sense to just buy an IS-F? or even GT-R if you want such a fast car. He spent 50k for the swap and made everything work in the car except for AC.

I still want boost in my car but there is no company that can make it properly..

He spent 50k and it still didn't run last I saw him post in the thread.

Someone else later said they "heard" he got everything but the AC working, but nobody ever saw it that I know of


and the only way you're gonna get high boost running properly on the standard 2IS engine is to rebuild it with a lot of custom parts and a much lower CR.
