Default Teaser of new wheels

So literally a day after taking delivery of my new Sevas S-55 wheels and spending over $2,500 on my sevas. I came up on a deal on iforged wheels that i couldn't refuse and took off my sevas.

They came off a g35 so they have a crazy offset for now, but once my sevas sell im going to have the wheels shaved and put a smaller series tire on them.

right now they have some huge 40 series tires mounted on them.

this is only a teaser/test fit of the offset.

hmm if the sevas havn't sold i'll probably slap them on and take them to the meet.

i doubt the iforged wll be done by then, not because of time but i dont want to keep spending money from my bank account towards the wheels/tires. if the sevas sell i'll use that money towards the iforged. If not i'll sell the iforged wheels and keep the sevas.

Ouch... are you sure shaving that much off won't make the face/bolt hole area weak and eventually can break apart while driving? I would try to get the proper tire set up 1st before shaving... 8mm sounds a lot!

i took them to wheels boutique and everyone looked at it and said the most i can safely shave off them is 7-8mm. i need to shave off a bit, they stick out about an inch.

Before you do anything what are the specs of the wheels? No one can determine anything unless you post the specs. And DO NOT shave the wheel.

Might I ask where you got your color matched grill from? Did you buy it from somewhere or did you have to get it custom painted?

Trading a set of good-fitting Sevas for a set of poor-fitting IForged seems like a weird trade. I hope it works out for you, but I'd be wary about making a major modification like shaving.

i think it was sewell or carlson lexus that had the sale a few months back of color matched grills. it was like $200. if i were to do it again id just take my grill to a shop though, it comes of easily.

you can only shave off 5mm safely.....anymore and its HIGH risk of the lug holes breaking and what not.
