Experiencing same problem on 2007 GS350 with 34k miles. The driver bulb turns on for 1-2 seconds and shuts off. Switching lights on and off used to work, but not anymore. My previous experience using HID's is that a dieing HID will light up dim purple before failure. This leads me to believe that the ballast isn't providing adequate wattage/voltage stream after they're ignited...

Although some of the CL members said that changing the bulbs fixed their issue, but I'm wondering if this is only a temporary fix. Newer bulbs have less resistance and aren't as demanding on the ballast as aged bulbs.

Im looking at these V-HID currently, the price is very attracting. Any feedbacks on these? i drive is250 (2010). Is it ok to use 35W in place of 55W? My low beams use 55W for the halogens.

Yes running 35W ballasts on your halogen headlights are fine. That's what I was using, but I got my ballast and bulbs from DDMtuning. I'm sure you'll be very satisfied with v-leds; I, as well as many other members use their LEDs for many of our light applications with great results.

Between Xenon and V-LED, which ones are better? or it doesn't really matter... im kinda torn between these two. If i get xenon, i'll grab it from ebay, v-led, ill grab from their website

do not get the V-LED HIDs. They make great interior lighting and great parking lights, but their HID bulbs suck. You really do get what you pay for, my light output is noticeably dimmer than my friends who switch to 6k light bulb and stuck to the normal top tier brands (phillips, oracle, and garnax)

Again, I loved V-LEDs products, but I just cant recommend their HID bulbs.

hummmm. i seee, do you know anything about the HID harness? i read alot of post and saw that some cars will need the HID harness and a few other accessories besides just the HID bulbs and ballast. How do i know whether my is250 (2010) will need or not?

if your car has HIDs then you wont need anything but the bulbs. If your car comes with halogen, then you'll need ballasts and harness. Easiest way to check is to go to the **** next to your steering wheel that looks like this <0>. Click that and scroll through to see if you have "AFS" if you do, then you have HIDs.

I just bought brand new 5000K D4S bulbs from XenonDepot (a CL vendor), and they look great. Here's my review:

Also, there's a CL-only discount code going on which brings the price of a two bulb set to $100.
