Just wondering, what's the connector that's on this pic go to? It's probably not related to the wiring of the mirror covers is it?

^^^i think in either this thread or another one, i forget which, they said that they didnt use it because the turn signals didnt draw much power. but i ended up using it just to be on the safe side.

"F" that! That's to much work for a mercedes-like mod IMO. Nice DIY instructions/pics though, hats-off!

After a loooong day yesterday of tinkering I finally go them done! I must say the hardest part was the routing of the wiring, talk about a PITA! took me a good 3 hours to get them done. I will try to post some pics later today.

you dont need them, i had the tech at the dealer help me tap the wires and he said they where not necessary...I never had any issues for the few months that I had them on.

Everyone is getting them done..cept me...I think something is loose because i tapped into the big red wire like Thien said, because it's always on and nothing. I think i tugged on the wire too much and the extension came loose.

It should not be a big red wire. The wires you tap on to are small. They are towards the bottom of the pile. A light green one and a red wire are the ones you need to tap onto. I did the trial and error for both of them since there are a couple of them that are the same color. Good luck

Thanks mike.

WOW that's confusing..I'm going to take it apart, and redo the wires and make sure that the LED mirror works first.
