Can you transfer your phone book from an iphone to the nav?
Over the weekend I had to have my dashboard fixed for a rattle. Unfortunately all of my phone contacts are gone. Now is it possible to somehow transfer my numbers from my 1st gen Iphone to the nav system or will I have to manually do it again? Thanks

Iphone doesn't support bluetooth transfer period. Only voice headsets. I've had the original iphone and currently have the 3g. Neither has bluetooth file transfer. To sync contacts you have to do so with the cable through the computer.

It could work to transfer the contacts in a BMW. I wouldn't know because I don't own one. But if the BMW's system works where it syncs the data through a usb connector, and works anything like address book/itunes, then there is that possibility.

Bluetooth iPhone Phonebook Transfer
Yep...sorry to say that the BMW does do Bluetooth phonebook transfer, and brings in all the numbers (home, work, cell, etc.) that are in the contact files. The new 2010 Lexus RX has the same capability....I just tested it at a dealer. I also tried for almost an hour to get the 2009 LX 570 to do a transfer, but it would not. It seems that the problem is with Lexus, not with Apple.....

Iphone Issue
Hey guys i am new on here but i am a Vehicle Technology Specialist For Lexus ,and i wanted to address some of the questions you all had about bluetooth. For some reason we have benn haveiong alot of issues with the bluetooth connection with the Lexus and after looking into and checking other sites we have came up with the cause of the issue. With some carriers they update the phones and forget to make bluetooth transfer a option,Verizon is the main one we have had long time iphone users driving Lexus and had no problems and then one day it all quit working after looking into it we notticed that all the customers have just updated there phones. As far as the the other carriers we had no issues until yesterday when we had a 2013 GS come in with a Iphone4 that wouldnt connect again just updated his phone.the cell phone industry moves alot faster then the car one does and sometimes with updates the companys over look the little things. You can go to the Apple website and put in iphone bluetooth issue and there is tons of posts and not just Lexus all manufactures. If you all have any questions please let me know. Also anyone looking for a new Lexus the all new GS just came out it is pretty amazing it has a 12.3 navigation screen with App suit which allows to download pandora, iheart radio, facebook, opentable ,movietickets, yelp, google. also its is a brand new body style. Also the new ES has been spoted in China it is also a complete redesign. The new RX comes out in August and will offer a F sport model. We have been told by Lexus that if we can sell 28k 2013 GS they will make the new LF-LC a reality here in the states. We also droped the HS line and added a IS hard top vert it is much like the SC as far as no room in the backseat ,and if you havent seen the new hybrid we have the CT200h it is truly one of the only real hybrids Lexus designed it very well and it avg 54 mpg and the entire car is 90% recyleable, and comes in a f sport hybrid .Like i said any questions let mek now tunderwood@lexusoforangepark.com
