I installed the intake a couple of days ago, i'll take some pictures of the post-install and post it later tonight... I chose to get the GReddy because I saw it mentioned on a thread somewhere & didn't find too much info on it - also comes with 2 Greddy stickers (awesome), +5 HP each.
I've never installed an intake before & following the instructions, it was painless. I didn't have the right tools so a typical 20min install took me 2 hours >_> and a few beers...couldn't reach that stupid 10mm screw holding the bottom of the air filter box in.
@Vroomin - i'm not sure if it has a heat shield...i'm guessing it could be that big *** metal piece that holds the filter in place? I don't know what the takeda filter looks like, but like you imagined, this one is just a polished tube & a filter.
I couldn't get the bottom of bracket (where I had trouble removing that darn 10mm screw) screwed back on...there's a box maybe 1' x 2' thats in the way & the bracket doesn't seem to bend around it, or maybe i'm just noob idk.
All in all, the intake has a very deep throaty sound only noticeable past 3K rpm. At 4-5K rpm it roars pretty beastly. Maybe i'll pair it with the evo3 exhaust in the future... let me know if there's anything else you guys wanted to know.

GReddy 12519002 Air Intake System... After listening to some youtube clips, this intake sounds similar to the one made by Injen. The Greddy seems to produce a slightly more "throaty" sound. I made a video, but it sucks, so i'll probably redo it another day.

No markings whatsoever on the tube..didn't look at the filter too much, but doubt there are any markings on there either. It does come with 2 ugly GReddy stickers though. As far as fitment, the bottom part of the mounting bracket I still haven't screwed in... ill try to get a picture of that, no idea what that little box is that's in the way.
