This is follow up for my original post on 1/26/13. Finally got around to putting these suckers in. I like!
Ddm tuning 5k left, stock HID on right.
And my trucks HID install
Looks good. I don't know if it's the exposure, but the pics make the fogs look like they need to be re-aimed. They look like they're throwing too much light into oncoming traffic instead of being focused closer to the immediate area in front of the car.
Same with the truck.. IMO HIDs in non-projector halogen housings is a huge mistake because of all the glare and hotspots you get, plus there's just way too much "light-bleed" above the cutoff that ends up blinding oncoming traffic. I would re-aim the headlights on the truck as well, but at a certain point your headlights become almost useless because you have to aim them so low to minimize glare.
This came in today.. but its not what I ordered =/
Emailed the eBay seller so I can buy the front lip and make sure that they actually send the right thing to me. Doesn't make sense to ship it back into the US since I'm in Canada and I would have to pay the return shipping even when they messed up.
I don't know if I should keep it or sell it.. Hmm..
did you test out the fitment yet?
i really like it but yesautopartsupply.com isn't working so ebay is only option now lol

Thanks, yeah well my truck has an 8" lift and its hard to adjust the light any lower that what it is. I actually had to replace my headlights to these you see here from the stock headlight housing. With my stock headlight housing they were pointed so high I'd get high beamed at all night long. These significantly reduced that from happening, but with the hid's it appears to be much brighter now. We shall see. Either way, these lights are a huge step up over the crappy haolgen bulbs I was rocking.

Fitment is not good out of the box because they had to ship it in a flat box, so the sides that go around the corners of the bumper flare out. If you have a heat gun, you can heat it up and bend it into place, then double-sided tape it to the bumper. It also comes with hardware to screw it into the bottom of the bumper, but I haven't tested fitment of that yet. You can also just take it to a bodyshop and they would be able to fit it on no problem. Do you want me to take a mock up pic so you can see how it sits now?
I decided that this is too aggressive for me, so I'll probably be putting it up for sale. Shipping is going to be crazy expensive, I'll have to take a hit on that
