so i was just driving minding my business and then all of a sudden a plastic bag out of no where went under my car and stuck to the hot exhaust and melted completely any one have any ideas to get it off... i tried to remove as much as possible with my hand...is it best to try and remove when exhaust is hot or cold ????Do i leave it alone..???i cant stand the smell,
When that happened to my previous car, I just got some screwdriver I had handy and scraped it off as much as I could when it cooled down. Just remember to RUN OVER bags next time to avoid that from happening again.
Try a heat gun...happened to my stainless steel toaster too left a plastic bag on top...when I realize the bag had melted it was already stuck and cold. I just warmed the toaster oven and used hot soapy water and a rag and removed it...Or you can just let it be and it will burn off by it self.

Oh man - I bet it stinks! But it should burn-off okay - just like when you self-clean an oven!
