What is the perceived benefit here?
How long did it take to accumulate 15cc of oil? Are you familiar with vacuum system oil migration control, and how putting a device like a catch can inline will promote oil migration? Are you familiar with the baffling in the cam covers and how it acts like your catch can without the undue cooling effect your can has? Do you believe if a simple catch can would solve a significant problem that the OEMs would not use them?

I would like to point out that you have no frikken idea what you are talking about. Also, your water vapor comment was asinine. The PCV valve is solely there for emissions. And yes, OEMs do use catch cans.
For anyone who wants to do this mod it's pretty simple.
Take the two hoses that go to the intake right by the throttle body. Route them to a catch can. Vent the catch can to atmosphere. You want as little restriction as possible for the atmosphere vent.
Even better would be to gut your PCV valves.
Lastly, the purpose of the catch can is not to fill it up with fluid. The purpose is to give the crankcase ventilation without having to burn blowby vapor in your motor. Blowby vapor does not burn well- it detonates. Detonation means your motor will run more roughly and make less HP. Also, better ventilation potentially makes better ring seal. Which also means better HP.
All of this is probably way over the heads of most members here, and the motor will probably run fine for 200K miles without a catch can and a VTA crankcase. If however you want to get an extra 2-5HP and make your engine a little bit happier this could be the trick.

Bringing this back to life.....I found this
http://drivegeek.wordpress.com/2011/...nd-a-solution/
I was wondering if yutnaka had any carbon buildup issue after this mod has been completed? Any performance issues? Gas mileage increase/decrease?
