According to a Lexus Parts guy...the 2 colors are identical. Just a name change. True??? Its the first I heard of it and so I wanted to check. I guess I could drive my car over there and have him pull out the Obsidian part and put it next to my car and see how close of a match it really is....

From what I read around in this forum, Obsidian is supposed to be the blackest of all blacks. And that the darkness difference in the two is 3%-4% from what I could remember.

There were also an argument about the Black Onyx not getting some clear coat or something but that is probably a whole new different discussion.

The two look identical to me. I've got a Black Onyx car with Obsidian GFX side skirts and I can't tell a difference.
