So this moring I was changing out the bulbs on the car, I have stock HID's. For those of you that have done this you will know of the cover on the back of the light that must be taken off to get to the bulb. Well the metal piece that holds the cover on droped into the engine some where, and for the life of me I can't find it. Does anyone have an extra one of these or know where to get it? Thank you SO much!

I'll check my parts manual when I get home tonight to see if there's a part number for just that retainer. You're either going to have to buy a new one, or remove the bumper and get that clip out (if it's caught inside the headlight assembly).
p.s. - In the future if you want more help, try naming your thread something more descriptive than "Please help." Being more specific will encourage more people that may have specific knowledge in that particular area to click in and try to help you out. I've edited this thread's title for you.![Smilie](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)

It should be called the dust cover brace or clamp. It is easy for this piece to come loose. I think it is a separate part. i was able to obtain new dust covers for my high beams after I modded the originals. I remember looking at a part breakdown schematic on a screan and the metal clip was illustrated.

Hey Brian231, howd you get the covers (where and part number(s)?. When I went to the dealership they gave me this part number for the headlight cover: 81135-53270 and they said it was the same for driver and passenger sides. When I got it, it didn't come with the metal clamps and it didn't even look like the original, it was much more flat. The parts guy even said that part number includes the metal clamp AND both covers for the projector bulb AND drl/parking/highbeam bulb. I'm just holding them in place with some strong tape right now and I need them to fix my headlight condensation. Any info would be helpful, thanks!
