Fastest way to heat up the interior?
#31
isn't it bad leaving the car running in idle to warm up the car? I honestly don't even warm up the car. I just start driving even if its cold as hell but within 5 minutes the temperature gets up pretty good so then I'm fine.
Oh and a little off topic: but do people think they're heated seats are hot enough? Mine seem so weak especially compared to the c300 we just got. In the c300 on the highest setting, it will literally burn your *** it gets that hot!

I think they're hot enough, I prefer to not have my *** feel like it's on fire. I can only assume that at that heat setting it must be pretty uncomfortable, and chances are (if you're a dude) that if your *** feels like its on fire then so must your nuts, and I don't even want to try and imagine what that must feel like.

Has anyone noticed the recirculate/fresh air setting that switches by itself even when NOT in the Auto mode. This is really irritating because if I wanted the car to think for itself, I would select Auto. When in manual, I put it in recirculate when driving through dusty areas, but I'll look down and it has switched to outside air. Had many Toyotas before and unless in Auto, the A/C systems stayed where I set them.
On the heat question, I take it out of Auto, set my temp to HI, then set blower speed and which vents I want manually. Seems to heat quicker.

just have a remote start installed thats what I did and its great to come to a warm car when you leave search and there is a recent thread where myself and a few other members talked about it. This can be done with your push start and its safe. Had mine for 30+ days with not one issue
PS come to Chicago and will show you some cold weather and a cold car!! lol...and there is worse then what we have to deal with (UGH)...

Exactly--it's been 15 deg in Philly the past few days. Turning the temp up to MAX won't do anything until the car is warmed up, and while it's cold, Auto will keep it from blowing cold air and making you feel worse.

cant say it wont void the warrant but yes it can be done and I can say its just as safe as my other car that takes a key. If you can get it done for 500$ or less its a good deal IMO. I paid a lot less but have sent this guy a lot of business and done 7+ cars of my own with him so they pushed this through the back door for me With my weather I love burning the extra gas
