As I recall, they rated well but were not at the top of the list.
Cheaper wipers rated better.

i think they work great, you cant tell there any better than some cheap blades at first, its just that cheap blades that dont use the new contoured design, streak after a few months.
and the contoured design applies even pressure along the entire blade length, and last ALOT longer

What happened to you? I've been using Rain X since 1989 on everything I own without an issue, so I'm very curious what happened to you with their product.

I use rain x on my parents cars because they don't wash it too often.
since i wash my car and clean my own windows and wiper blades, i don't need rain x or glaco (not available anymore but you can get ametvee)
my windows be so clean that the rain just slides off like if i have rain x

That being said, my biggest problem with this product is that there are better products out there that don't use micro-abrasives or chemical etching to induce cohesion or silicone oils (known to be bad for paint contamination)
YMMV

Rain-x works by filling in the micro-pores of the glass with a hydrophobic silicone oils so that water sheets off. The problem is that they include dilute sulfuric acid to create those micro-pores so that the oils can bond.
