Well if you were going to mod your is250 like many of you have it is not a bad deal for $38K. Most of those mods I would likely get done with the exception of the engine cover and pinstripe. If you break it down with real prices it would look like this:
$32,000 Car (approx invoice)
3,000 19" wheels and tires
800 Exhaust
300 Springs
600 Shocks
200 Window Tint
300 Intake
500 Labor
37,700 Total
The carbon fiber engine cover and pinstripe would be like $1K that I really dont care for but it seems to add up if you were going to eventually get those mods. Plus you get to finance all the mods and have it all under warrenty. I wonder if the dealership gives you all the stock parts they took off the car (springs, shocks, exhaust, wheels)? If so it could be a good deal.

rip off. Sterling McCall was terrible when I went in there. Call Sewell in Dallas and ask for Dawn in Internet Sales. She will absolutely smoke that price.
That price (for a 2008 IS250) is THOUSANDS of dollars more than I paid for a brand new 2008 IS350 in October of last year.

I think one would have to be mentally insane to pay that much for that car. Its incredibly slow and doesn't even look cool. F-sport is a joke IMO. All the stuff is exorbitantly overpriced and doesnt even make much of a difference.
$1600 catback, $600 intake, $4100 wheels, $700 LOWERING SPRINGS? What a joke.

NO NO NO NO
it's not a true F-Sport IS250...from the looks of it, it seems like it's missing half of the F-Sport mods.
not worth it if it doesn't have the F-Sport brakes, nor a nav unit.
get the '09 350

Not a good deal. All that adds on just a way for the dealer attempt to get rid of unwant vehicle. Those F-Sport adds on will not get the car closer to IS-F! But those F-sport sticker will save weights
I don't think the dealer will give you stock parts. Its like you driving away with the 19" along with the stock 17"? 2 sets of tires?
Go for the IS350, you won't regret! Save those extra $ and add on your own flavors to the car.

no it'd be cheaper to get the parts yourself and install it yourself. reason being an is250 runs about $32000 new and with the parts it'll run you bout $37000. That being said if you purchase the new is250, you'll get the old set of rims, springs, exhaust, etc for you to sell or keep. You're basically paying more for less. Though if they give you the old parts, then it wouldn't be so bad.
Just remember, I paid $34,600+tax for my is250awd (07 model) which included swivel hid's, navi and wood trim and the other accessories they forced me to get which at $34,600 was exactly invoice when I purchased it.
If anything you can get a used 350 and throw on the parts and it'll still run you less than $37000. I only got the 250 because of the awd being in boston we've had some pretty bad snow storms the past two years which the awd helped a lot. i wouldn't recommend a 250 unless it's either manual or awd. i don't see the point in the 250rwd at least not for me. I can't say the same for anyone else. but each to his own. good luck!

Never reward any dealer that has the gal to put a pinstripe on an IS. The end.
