Default Wheels offset. Dont want to get burned

ok on my is i have the stock 225 40 18 and 255 40 18 rear. I pretty much just want to switch to a wheel that i can do like a 245 40 18 all around.

the car is stock height and i dont want to lower it. If i can do a 255 40 18 all around that would be great also.

I dont want any probs since my wife and new born are in the car. Dont want to roll fenders etc.

im looking at 2 wheels
18x7.5 with 42mm offset
and a
18x7.5 with 38mm offset

I think the above wheels 235 40 18 would be the widest i could go

im also looking at
18x8.5 with 35mm offset which 255 40 18 i would love to put on that one

any info is appreciated

Why do you want to go from staggered tires to non-staggered?

I agree it seems strange. At a stock ride height you arent gonna be burning through tires so its ok to run them staggered

going 18" is fine just push the offsets more then that. A few members have 18" aftermarket rims on the IS and I think it looks good. PM member t0e and see what offsets he has on his Work rims. I like the set up and this would be good for what you are looking for

Putting a 255 wheel is the front, is just way to big.

You might be able to get away with a 245/35(or 40), all the way around with the 18x7.5 38, since the tires will have more operating room.
