Looking to pick up a set of wheels. Used to being able to go wiiiiiide w/ my MKIV, so I'm a little disappointed I can't get as much wheel under my IS. Looking to go to a 19x10.5 out back. (1) Possible? (2) If so, what kind of offset + tire do I need to look for? Not really into the stretched look and would like to at least run a 265 on them, preferably a 275.
While I'm at it, will a 19x8.5+30 running a 245/35/19 work up front? Thanks!

yes you can get away with a 10.5" rim in the rear. the front you are better with +33 and 235/35-19 unless you are going to do fender mods to the front. +33 was the most I could push with this same size tire without having issues. I had 19x10 +38 in the rear on 275/35 but I did have to roll the rear fenders. I still had slight rub on large dips occasionally.
All this depends on how low you are going to do. Lower you go the more you will tuck...

^ IMO then just mod the liner then and run the 245/35 and stay with the +33. The liner is easy to mold once heated. I think the major issue is the bolt/clip that you will rub against where the bumper bolts up when fully turned. Why do you want to run 245?? if you are trying to balance the look of the front and rear tires go with a 20" rim in the rear then and stay with the 19" in the front. If I had the IS this is how I would do it all over again.

why run a 10.5.....theres no point. the tires are gonna be more expensive and these cars dont have the power needed for such a wide rear.
but it is possible with a like +35 and higher offset
